Cannes 70th Festival

As the Cannes 70th Festival unveiled this weekthe Bollywood Divas have taken the world by storm with their gorgeous red carpet presence including Aishwarya Rai Bachan, Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor, Shruti Hassan and Amy Jackson. We’ve seen magazines and social media cluttered with all the paparazzi and glitz of the red carpet glamour of their stunning appearances, ravishing looks and dresses, while breaking a few styling stereotypes and creating some new rules in the world book of fashion. Here’s every dress from Cannes 2017 so far.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Yanina Couture Gown

Starting off with an easy, breezy, lacy affair with this Yanina Couture Gown in a mystic combination of green and blue, Aastha Sharma has undoubtedly replicated the mermaid princess – Arielle look for Ash.

Mark Bum Garner Gown

Her second look confirmed her affinity towards the Disney Princesses. Clad in a cream embroidered Mark Bumgarner gown, she looked nothing less than a Cindellera in her ball room dress. Anisha Jain, the stylist for this look did some wonders to make the beauty queen appear right from the pages of our fairy-tale fantasies.

Ice-princess gown

This would surely be a dream come true for most of us to be adorned in this extraordinary ice-princess gown from Michael Cinco. Styled by Aastha Sharma, this is definitely one of Ash’s most breath-taking. Hands down for this!

Ashi Studio Gown

After all that Disney princess, it was time to unveil the darker and seductive side of the starlet with this Gothic Diva look. Styled by the amazing Aastha Sharma again, this Ashi Studio Gown in shining black, is all we could crave for in our darkest desires.

Ralph and Russo gown

And, finally she bestowed her magnificence in this red Ralph and Russo gown, something that we generally don’t expect on a red carpet given the clash. However, Mrs Bachchan with her grace and elegance proved all conventions wrongs and made us realize yet again she is a real beauty goddess.

Sonam Kapoor

Shimma Saree

Sonam took a little piece of India with her to Cannes and flaunted a fresh change in a saree with the inspiration from her stylist sister Rhea Kapoor. She ditched the detailed gowns for this shimma saree from the house of Norblack Norwhite by the Canadian born designers Mriga Kapadiya and Amrit Kumar.

After giving us this simple, surprise desi look for the press meet on Day 4 of the Cannes film festival 2017,  Sonam Kapoor took charge of the red carpet wearing a pink Elie Saab gown, fitted with dramatic sleeves, a deep boat neck and a flowing skirt with a small train. The slim belt shows of Sonam’s statue-esque figure brilliantly.

Deepika Padukone

Red Strappy Maxi-Dress

Deepika unveiled her first look for the Cannes in a fiery red strappy maxi-dress from Johanna Ortiz. Frilled hem and ruffled shoulders created a soothing yet a tempting summer look for her first press interactions.

Galvan Satin Mini Dress

In her sexiest best, Deepika rocked the braless style in a Galvan Satin mini dress. This was definitely her boldest best at Cannes and her amazing personality made it look flawless and chic on her.

Wine Hued Gown

As has been aptly termed, this one is the ‘dangerously sexy’ outfit. Inspired from Kendall’s Met Gala look, this wine hued gown from Marchesa had a hint of butt show in a naughty yet pretty way. The Diva aced the look with her infectious smile and ravishing personality.

Mustard Yellow Dress

This bell sleeved body hugging pencil fit yellow dress was like a ray of sunshine on her second day at Cannes. This high necked mustard yellow dress from Solace London was all about the summer vibes on the French Riviera. With the hair backcombed into a ponytail, the dress was everything that can make us happy.

Brandon Maxwell Dress

Shruti Hassan

Avaro Figlio Ruffle Dress

Debuting at the Cannes, Shruti Hassan walked the red carpet in a black ensemble from Avaro Figlio. This ruffled number was too casual for such a big event except for a pretty pair of silver Christian Louboutin pumps.

Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla Saree

Shruti’s second look was seen whilst gracing the red carpet celebrating her film ‘Sangamithra’.  For Day 3, Shruti was seen sporting an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla saree, a ring by Misho and an ear stud by Anomaly. Shruti was styled by Shreeja Rajagopalan with hair and make up by Tarryn Kelly.
