Every year, just before fashion week hits, a select number of designers come together to present their couture collections to the world. Delhi's #ICW2018 was no exception; with its truck-full of glamour, only the show-stopping looks of the best in Bollywood could do these gorgeous clothes justice, right? Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kangana Ranaut, Shilpa Shetty and a bunch of other celebrities hit up the runways at India Couture Week this week, here’s what they wore...but who killed it most for you?
Aditi Rao Hydari for Tarun Tahiliani
The week began with the master of them all, Tarun Tahiliani. Once we were finished ogling at everything that moved on the runway, Aditi Rao Hydari walked out in the prettiest pink, Swarovski embellished number, accessorized with the most exquisite jewelry.
Kangana Ranaut for Anju Modi
After the show, Kangana Ranaut actually said to a source, “This is Victorian cape, and I have taken the look very seriously. I am in full character, and I feel I can break into a dialogue." – and we couldn’t agree more! She looked like a badass queen in her lehenga and jewel-toned cape and gave off Cercei Lannister vibes you really couldn’t ignore!
Kareena Kapoor Khan for Falguni & Shane Peacock
We’re used to seeing Kareena Kapoor Khan strut down the runway for Manish Malhotra but this might be the first time we’ve seen her walk for Falguni and Shane. The 30kg gold lehenga she put on took us back to her recent film, Veere Di Wedding, and she looked absolutely breathtaking as she closed the show.
Shilpa Shetty for Amit Aggarwal
She might have been one of the older actresses this season at Couture Week but hot damn, no one else could pull off the Amit Aggarwal sari she wore during the show. The structured, plum number flattered every single inch of her body and it’s safe to say you’ll find us at the gym all day, everyday starting now!
Kiara Advani for Shyamal and Bhumika
It was a sea foam coloured lehenga for Kiara Advani. Her look featured a pretty trail and a sweetheart neck blouse with subtle, but still exaggerated sleeves. Green isn’t a colour many opt for at weddings but after looking at this, we don’t know why we don’t wear more of it. Pretty, isn’t it?
Yami Gautam for Reynu Taandon
The last celebrity lehenga that walked down the runway was worn by Yami Gautam. Her edgy hair and makeup created a contrast for the floral, Reynu Taandon ensemble she wore to close the show. Next time you’re dressing for a wedding, wear the pretty outfit but opt for slick, badass hair – remember, opposites attract!
