Indian Couture Week celebrated its 10th year at the Taj Palace Hotel, New Delhi from 24th-30th July. With a curtain raiser from Anamika Khanna and Rohit Bal, the illustrious fashion event showcased some of the best intricate couture designs and themes from creative geniuses like Anita Dongre, Gaurav Gupta, Rahul Mishra, Shyamlal and Bhumika, Monisha Jaisingh, Anju Modi, Tarun Tahilani among many others. The Bollywood glam brigade- Shilpa Shetty, Athithya Shetty, Dia Mirza, Bhumika Pendsekar, Aditi Rao Hydari - took over the ramp with their stunning presence and jaw-dropping fashion statement.

With a lot of pictures floating around the internet about ICW 2017, it’s time to check out some of the best saree moments from this event that are going to make you truly swoon!

 1) Aditi Rao Hydari x Gaurav Gupta

Moondust Theme

With the Moondust theme, this saree blended the Indian Craftsmanship with the European techniques, making Aditi look nothing but a vision. The pastel shade with the pleaded drapes and silver lining is every fashionista’s dream.

2) Tarun Tahilani

Tarun Tahilani

This saree from Tarun Tahilani’s bridal couture collection combines the comfort of soft weightless zaari chiffon with the juicy colour of peaches. Surely, this makes for one perfect ensemble for every bridesmaid on her favourite girl’s Mehendi ceremony?

3) Anita Dongre

The Rajputana Zaari work in this tempting black coloured saree is mouth watering. What more can we ask for to be at our sexiest best at the next evening reception party?

This Anita Dongre number nailed it, blending authenticity with sassiness.

4) Shilpa Shetty x Monisha Jaising

Shilpa looked nothing less than a Queen in this vibrant orangish-red Banarasi silk ensemble with heavy golden artwork. This saree certainly ends up in our bucket list for the bride’s boutique on her D-Day.

5) Anamika Khanna

Anamika Khanna

This one by Anamika Khanna deserves a mention for more than one reason. The ethnicity in the heavy golden embroidery, the hour glass cut away and the amazing colour in orange and pink - something to stare at for a long time.

6) Monisha Jaising

This is our second pick this time in silver ad teal hues from the Monisha Jaising collection. The cherry on the top for this saree was the salmon, low cut blouse which perfectly complemented the sophisticated colours in silver.

7) Monisha Jaising

This Designer has been on FIRE at ICW 2017! A third one from the house of Monisha Jaising – we are absolutely blown away by this cherry colour and the elaborate yet minimal detailing on the pleats.

8) Dilsha Patani x ManavGangwani

Manav Gangwani

Ok, ok it’s not a saree – but we couldn’t let it pass – it’s certainly the best saved for last! This lehenga is an ode to the Indian Heritage of embroidery and design in it’s a classical best – Manav Gangwani at his ethnic best.
