Kate really showed us why it's called 'Royal' blue, wearing a sapphire blue Indian-inspired bespoke gown designed by one of her favourite British brands Jenny Packham whilst the beading of her dress was done in India, again showing Kate's real sensitivity to local trade and illustrating again why she's a perfect diplomat.

The event celebrated Mumbai's film and creative industries and was hosted by The British High Commission in partnership with The British Asian Trust, of which Prince Charles is founder and President.
The Duchess was also seated next to Adar Poonawalla, the CEO of vaccine manufacturer Serum Institute of India and the Royal Couple chose to eat a traditional vegetarian indian menu.

It was a tightly guarded guest lists, with all guests being on stand-by until only the final moments. Here's Kanika Kapoor's invite and the moment she met the Duchess.

Here are some of our favorite outfits from the evening so far. All the starlets tended to opt for intricate weave and mirror work and soft and subtle hues. Whilst we love all the internationally flavoured colours, fabrics, shapes and work, we particularly like Jacqueline Fernandez in her red Manish Malhotra outfit which is both authentically Indian whilst classy.
